Hawkeye 50k/25k

Hawkeye 50k/25k !!! Did you say 50k?

YES... We said it.  

The Hawkeye 50K/25K is a great local ultra marathon. 


NEW RUCK division this year in both the 50K and 25K distance

Registration

Packet Pick Up Info

  • April 12th from 3pm to 7pm at the We Run North Liberty Location
  • April 13th from 10am to 6pm at the We Run North Liberty Location
  • Day of packet pick up is available at the Timber Dome (Start/Finish) of event from 6:30am-7:45am (runners only)
  • (RUCK ONLY)  packet pickup and weigh in from 5:30am to 6:45am. Ruckers are still able to pick up packets before the event, however their RuckPack still must be weighed. 


RULES OF THE RUCK:

  •  Each participant must have their own Ruck sack with a minimum dry weight of 20lbs. 
  •  Each participant prior to race start will need to weigh their pack without water and nutrition.
  •  Each participant of 25K will be required to weigh their pack at the finish. 
  •  Each participant of 50K will be required to weigh their pack at the end of Lap 1 and finish.
  •  Any time during the event if the ruck participants RuckPack does not meet the minimum required weight of 20lbs, the participant will be disqualified and will not receive an official time or ruck patch. However, we will allow the participant to complete the course and they will still receive a finishers medal.


COURSE TIME LIMITS:

  •  10 HRS Ruck either 25K/50K distances (must start 2nd lap by 11am) otherwise you will be pulled from course. 
  •  8 hours for the 50K (must start 2nd lap by 12:00 noon) otherwise you will be pulled from course.
  •  7.5 hours for the 25K.
  • If you are pulled from the course after lap one due to time restrictions, participant will receive an official time for the 25K distance. 


EVENT START TIMES: 

  •  Ruck - 6am to 4pm 
  •  50K - 8am to 4pm 
  •  25K - 8:30am to 4pm 

What do I get for my registration?

Registration includes:

  • Bib (race number)
  • Entry into a timed event
  • Name in the drawing for all the door prizes
  • Technical race day runners hat for first 300 registered
  • Amazing finishing medal for first 300 registered
  • RUCKERS ONLY receive a custom ruck patch
  • Most important a GREAT time with family and friends
  • Your race entry benefits Team RWB and Team Rubicon
  • This event is on a off road trail. Strollers and pets are not allowed.
  • USATF sanctioned event.           
  • Awards breakdown as follows; 50k/25k top three overall male and female, top three in AG 19 and under, 20-39 and 40+ in both male and female.
  • There will not be any individual over all or AG awards for Rucking division.
  • This race will be a cup less event. One collapsible cup will be provided to each race participant.
  • Technical unisex event shirts will be available to purchase prior to the February 28th cut off during the registration process. Shirts cost $10.00 each pictured below. Shirts will be black.

Individual Awards:

  • Overall male and female finisher for 50K and 25K
  •  Top 3 finishers in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-39 and 40+ for both the 50K and 25K distance.
  • NO AWARDS for individual finish position in the RUCK division. Instead all Ruck finishers will also receive a custom Ruck patch.

This years Hawkeye Event will be cup-less at all aid stations, participants will be given one collapsible cup to utilize on the race course. Of course, your encouraged and welcome to have your own hydration pack or handhelds. The goal is to keep the trails clean and reduce waste.
