Hawkeye Fallout 50k/25K/10M


The Hawkeye Fallout 50K/25K/10M registration is open. With the 25K and 50K starting at 8am and the NEW 10M starting at 7:30 am. on October 26th, 2019.


The Hawkeye Fallout 50K/25K/10M trail run around the scenic McBride Lake in the opposite direction of the famous Hawkeye 50K/25K.


The NEW 10M distance is an out and back along the north shore. All distances start at the Timber Dome Lodge located at (700 W Sovers St, Solon, IA).


From the start/finish you will run in a counter clockwise direction around the lake. The course will take you down the only road section first, then through the beautiful single track trails of MNRA, over the famous spillway and head back to start/finish area by the north shore trail. The 50K is two loops. The 10M event will head from the start/finish area and head down the beautiful North Shore Trail out 5 miles and then back again. There are four full service aid stations along the course, and one self serve water station.


Aid Station Locations are at:


Mile 4, 7.5, 10, 12.5 (water only) and mile 15 (start/finish) for 50K. The 10M will have a self service water station at mile 2.5 and 7.5 with a full service aid station at mile 5. Hope you can join us for this amazing race.

Packet Pick Up Information

  • October 26th from 10am to 6pm at the We Run North Liberty Location only, items can not be picked up at the We Run location in Cedar Rapids.
  • Day of race packet pick up is available at the Timber Dome located at 700 W Sovers St, Solon, IA  (Start/Finish) of event from 6:15am-7:45am


COURSE TIME LIMITS:

  • 8 hours for the 50K (must start 2nd lap by 11:45am) otherwise you will be pulled from course.
  • 8 hours for the 25K.
  • 7.5 hours for the 10 Mile
  • If you are pulled from the course after lap one due to time restrictions, participant will receive an official time for the 25K distance.


EVENT START TIMES:  

  • 50K - 8am to 4pm 
  • 25K - 8am to 4pm 
  • 10M - 7:30am to 4pm

What do I get for my registration?

Hawkeye Fallout 2019 Participants Finishing Medal

Registration includes:

  • Bib (race number) specific to race distance
  • Entry into a timed event
  • Name in the drawing for all the door prizes

  • This event is on a off road trail. Strollers and pets are not allowed.
  • USATF sanctioned event.           
  • Awards breakdown as follows; 50k/25k/10M top overall male and female, top three in AG 19 and under, 20-39, 40-59 and 60 and over, in both male and female.
  • This race will be a cup less event. This means you must have a personal hydration flask to use at aid stations or during your adventure. Hydration is a must and you will need the means to take hydration.
  • The post party has always been pot luck style. This makes for great variety of post party foods every year. This year will be no different, bring your favorite post race dish to share, and who knows maybe you will discover a new favorite. Like the discovered smoked trout dip.

  • Overall male and female finisher for 50K / 25K / 10M

We Run LUCKY RUN 10k/5k/1k

We Run LUCKY RUN is a timed event for ALL levels of runners and walkers.

We Run LUCKY RUN 10k/5k/1k will be held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 10am. Registration for the 2019 We Run LUCKY RUN will OPEN on October 1st at 12:01am.

Race event t-shirt, this years tech shirt has an athletic fit and is based on unisex sizing. Concerned about the proper sizing stop by the one of our We Run locations and try on a sample shirt. Shirts are the same brand and cut as years past.

2018 route is the same as previous year, 1 lap for 5K and 2 laps for 10k distances. 1K will be an out and back from start line and start 5 minutes after the 5K and 10K event.
